We were able to see Luke get a little bit back to his old self, and then we drove off to Gettysburg. It is only an hour drive from Ryan's apartment, and it was gorgeous. I felt like we drove into a fairy tale - green, green, green, rolling, rolling hills, with farmlands as far as you could see. Gettysburg was gorgeous, but then (with the help of Caroline's CD) I learned (Cami was a great teacher) about the bloodiest battle in the western hemisphere. It was overwhelmingly solemn. We also went to the site where they believe President Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address.
We stayed at the Robert E. Lee Hotel (the actual Confederate headquarters during the 3-day battle). While there, we experienced some ghosts and ghost stories. A ghost was actually teasing us by not letting us enter our room. It was lots of fun. :)

We went through Gettysburg once on a Thanksgiving day and I don't remember seeing any of this cool stuff. I guess I need to go back? Nice collage.
ReplyDeleteOh come on you don't believe in ghosts do you?
