D.C. Trip - Day 11 Cont. D.C. at NIGHT

Ryan insisted that we go back to see the monuments at night...so we reluctantly agreed. (We were tired, and didn't think it would  be that big of deal.)  But we were SOOO glad that he made us go!  It was impressive!!
Awesome shot of the Washington Monument with the Capitol Building in the background.

"From the mountain of despair, a stone of hope."

The MLK Monument was impressive to say the least.
Then we went to the FDR Monument.  It was layered with symbolism and meaning.

An awkward picture with Eleanor Roosevelt - the first woman UN ambassador.
The Jefferson Memorial
The Capitol Building
The National Cathedral
We were almost all the way out of D.C. when I decided that I really wanted to go to the Cathedral.  It was worth the extra detour.  It is massive and beautiful.
