D.C. Trip - Day 9 BOSTON

We decided to experience Boston and its historical sites by way of the Hop on - Hop off tours.  It was the perfect way to go.   This is the church in which Paul Revere lit the lanterns for his famous warning.  Cami is with a statue of him below.

This Old Iron Sides - the oldest, still working fleet ship.  It was massive.

Here is the Old State House.  The Constitution was first read to the people from that balcony.  Also, right below the building (lower picture) was were the Boston Massacre occurred.  Now this building is an actual Metro (subway) stop.
Marker for the Boston Massacre.

Faneuil Hall
Faneuil was a right merchant but also involved in politics.  This building was built with both those things in mind - the first floor still has shops in it and the upper floors (seen below) were used for political debates and oratories (i.e. Daniel Webster's speech and others like Susan B. Anthony).

The original Cheers..."where everybody knows your name...and they're always glad you came..."
Our tour bus's reflection in one of Boston's skyscrapers.

Paul Revere's grave site.
Memorial to 54th Massachusetts' troop - the first black troop.
Location of the Boston Tea Party.  I tasted the water - it still tastes of tea!  JK
Cami on the ferry.
We also got to see Boston from the water.  It was beautiful and rainy.  Boston was a gorgeous city.  SOOOO clean!
