D.C. Trip - Day 11 Back to D.C.

Bronx, NYC

We spent a day in New Haven, Connecticut, and then we made our way back to D.C.  We were shocked to find ourselves (with the help of "Nuvi" our GPS) driving through the Bronx of NYC.  It was insane the road systems through there.  We couldn't believe the size of "the projects" of the Bronx.

We drove ALLLL day long!  We got really good at toll roads, and spent a lot of time on bridges.

I wanted to make sure we got some proof that we made it to Delaware state.  I actually tried to stop and find a good place for a picture, but we struck out there multiple times!
D.C. Temple

There was an amazing site as we neared D.C.  It was pretty incredible to come around the corner to see the temple ahead, above the extremely tall and dense trees.

We made it back to Ryan and Caroline's in time to take them to dinner for their hospitality, but also to celebrate Grandpa Buck's birthday.  We had some shakes for him (and we were with the Senior Olympic team in the background).
