D.C. Trip - Day 4

Sunday was a crazy day for Ryan and Caroline.  First we went to church, I found my friend Toni's son who was serving in Ryan's ward.  We listened to Lincoln's primary talk about Joseph Smith, and then we rushed home.  Luke was having difficulty breathing.  He was wheezing, and Ryan thought that a breathing treatment would help.  It did for about 20 minutes, but then he was having a hard time again.  Caroline came home.  They tried everything they could think of, got Luke a blessing, and headed across the street (literally in their backyard) to the hospital.  Cami and I were happy to watch Lincoln.

It turned into a long day, but an even longer night for Ryan and Caroline as they were working to see improvements in Luke's breathing.  We got to take Lincoln for a walk were he got to see his first wild bunnies and FIREFLIES!  We saw all different colors - white, yellow, red, green, and even blue.  It was amazing!

This picture was taken the next morning when we went to visit Lucas.  He was doing much, much better.  The doctors and nurses were all impressed by how quickly he turned around.  He went home that night.

We were just glad that we were there when we could help out.  And that Luke was able to recover quickly.

We loves these kids!

  1. What a miracle that you were there when this happened and that little Luke recovered so well. I am so relieved you were with Ryan and Caroline during such an awful, stressful, hard couple of days.
