The day before the Carlson flew out we all participated in the Race for Grief in Kamdyn's honor. It was so fun to run/walk together as a family in memory of Baby Kamdyn. I was so proud of myself for completing the 10K. Mom even surprised me at the end to show her support. It felt great!
I was very emotional at the end. I was overcome when I realized that Callee and Zac had waited for me to run into the finish line. Callee said, "We can't leave any of Team Kamdyn behind." It was one of the sweetest things. Cami and Mom then came walking back to show their support. (BTW, Cami was able to run the entire 10K despite her IT band injuries from the Ogden Marathon.)
It was an awesome, awesome day.
