Girls Camp '13

Cami was called to be the Camp Leader, so I agreed to go as her assistant/cook.  It turned out to be the best decision for us to go together - for sanity's sake.

Our ward was able to go to the Heber Valley Camp - it was gorgeous and cushy (relatively speaking), which made it better for me.

My favorite thing was our Sunset Hike - it was a last minute decision that turned out to be amazing.

We got to the Outlook Point over the Heber Valley just as the sun was starting to set.  It was magnificent.  We had a devotional given by one of our YCLs and then hiked back to our camp using flashlights.  It was so fun!  We even got to see a moose (she? did charge towards one of our leaders though and scared the girls!).

The animals at the Heber Camp were so tame - the missionaries there believed it was because it was dedicated land for the safety of the young women in the church.  It was amazing to walk right next to deer without feeling scared.  These are twin fawns.  So cute!

Our girls (and leaders) also were able to participate in a few challenge courses.  This is the tight-rope that led to the zip-line.  It looked fun.  I didn't go on it because I wasn't feeling well...and you know how I am with heights...I hyperventilate so easily and I couldn't breathe already because of a cold I contracted from the girls.  :)

Cami, of  course, made it look so easy!  We were able to get all of our girls through this challenge, but some took some serious coaxing (but I was understanding!).  I was proud of them.
