On June 20th, President and Sister Carlson were set apart by Elder M.
Russell Ballard. It was incredible to be able to join the Carlson
family in this special time for them. While we were waiting to meet with Elder Ballard, we saw several people in the lobby - Elder Bednar, Elder Christiansen, and a few members of the Seventies. We were hanging outside President Monson's office door, but to no avail. It was like seeing celebrities!
During Elder Ballard's blessings, he specifically mentioned things in for the new president and his wife. He was older than I anticipated, but he had a lot of energy for missionary work. It was a very special experience.
Afterwards, we went to Cami's cousin, Becky's, house for a luncheon. We were in charge of the fruit tray...so Cami whipped up this little shark. Cool huh!?
