Zions Trip '13

The next weekend we went with Mom and Dad to Zions.  It has been a few years since we've been able to get down to Zions, and it was nothing but amazing to be in that canyon again.

It is like a rejuvenation of my soul to be there.

We got there late Thursday night, and the next morning we sent Mom and Dad to Emerald Pools without us so I could study.  But then, after lunch, we went to Hidden Canyon.

Holy burning calves!!!  I forgot how steep that climb is!  But it was beautiful.

We had a great idea...but I freaked out!  Haha!

That night, RaMitch made their way down.  Just in time for Rachel's birthday dinner.   She requested apricot chicken and fried potatoes.  They were Delish!  Then we had peach cobbler for dessert.

Then we geared up for the next day!

Dad had planned a Duo-a-thon for the next day.  The plan was to hike Angel's Landing and then bike the canyon. But it all started with stretching!

Rachel was sung to on the shuttle for her 22nd birthday.  She LOVED it!  :)

There is nothing better than this heavenly canyon when you're hiking to Angel's.

They still think they are newlyweds, I guess.  :)

Once we made it to the top of Walter's Wiggles, Cami and I decided to stay.  Ok, the truth is that I didn't want to go up to the top - there were SO many people.  You can see though Dad (in the yellow shirt), then mom in the hat below him, Rachel, and then Mitch with the backpack.

While they were hiking, we enjoyed the sun and the interesting foreigners nearby.

We finished Angel's, had lunch, and then got on our bikes.  I didn't get any pictures, but we rocked that canyon!  I couldn't believe that I survived...seriously!

This was the view from our campsite.

Sunday morning was glorious.

Cami, Rachel, and Mitch played catch.

Rachel loved her 22nd birthday!
