Every time we go to the Bullfrog side of Lake Powell - so freakishly hot weather finds us! This year it was 102, after leaving Price at a nice 80+ degree weather. It was not cool. (Literally!)
But the kids all decided that they could live there. J loved being able to swim in the lake "hot tub". L and T knee boarded all by themselves behind the waverunner. M was a cutie. And Ke and B loved jumping off the back of the boat.
I did a LOT of homework. (I have been working on some prereq classes this summer for a master's program.)
And we watched the water level increase by the HOUR! It was the craziest thing I'd ever seen. On the bottom right corner, you can see the water level from our tent door on the last night (it was at least 2 feet away when we pitched there 2 days before). And then you can see the water level that next morning on the bottom, second pic over. (We are talking INCHES from the door!)
Oh, and my feet REBELLED against the heat in a big way (literally!). I'm pretty sure the doctor said, "No more Lake Powell for you in the hot, summer months!"
(I'll post the pic in the next post.)
