This year's trip to the Grey's was a little different right from the start - We were a small group (Mom, Dad, the Twitchells - minus A, Lacey, Rachel, and us) and the river was INCREDIBLY high this year.
Pre-Rafting fun! As Dad and Brent were getting the raft, we were having a dance party in the parking lot!
Gotta love jammin' to "Tonight, Tonight:" and "Desperately"!!!
(And yes, I'm aware that my outfit is very matchy-matchy!)
We went on the wildest, scariest river ride in the 20-year history of the Roberts' Clan riding the Snake.
But I will include that story when the pictures arrive.
We only made one trip down the river (another first for us!), so we headed to Jackson for the afternoon.
We enjoyed yummy ice cream, some shopping, and some photo opts. :)
I'm licking my lips - it was soo yummy! E is lovin' hers too, by the looks of it!
Lacey made the long trip down from Oregon. It was fun.
We camped in the wild flowers of the Grey's.
It was GORGEOUS!
Some relaxing happened.
And a very competitive horseshoe tourney happened. We played off.
I beat Cami. (I'm not sure how!)
Then Ra beat me with this ringer!
Then Ra beat Lacey with this back-to-back ringer!
(I'm pretty sure this was the FASTEST game on record!)
Then Ra got a third ringer!
She was ON FIRE!
But the silent horse took down the reigning champ! Dad got her in ONE turn!
Fun game!
Then we headed to Murphy's Lake for lunch and fun.
We roasted hot dogs and made another batch of sticky buns! YUM-O!
The water was frigid though!
Dad "helped" Ra enjoy it. :)
Cami swam across on her own free will.
It is the prettiest setting and water.
We love this trip each year, and we are incredibly grateful (especially this year) for our great family.
Love you guys.

love love!
ReplyDeleteBest blog post ever. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a sweet trip. We've had a great summer and I've got to admit it was fun beating Rach.
