I felt the need to walk to the dam and back to the Oaks, just to make sure that it was still there and beautiful! No, really I wasn't sure about the transition spot for me. But I had an amazing walk. It was the first time in my life that I was absolutely positive that I was going to do it. I had not run more than 2.5 miles before the race training due to shin splints and such, but I knew I would be able to do the 4.5 miles on this day. It was the best feeling ever!
I am a person who gets tirey eyed when I see others accomplish their goals and dreams, but rarely has that happened to me. Too many insecurities. But on this day, walking back from the dam, I knew! It made me run a breeze and so rewarding.

Way to go Chels thats AWESOME!!
