The best part about Halloween is seeing the cute kids dressed up. This year we had a Scary Vampire, a Witch, Rapunzel, a Firefighter, and a Tree Frog. Of course, Cami had to join the fun as a Green M&M (and if you don't know what green M&M's do to you, be sure to ask Cami!), and Katie was a fun witch too.
***So where are your pics of your trick-or-treaters??? :)
I tried to be different this year, and so I tried an idea I saw on Pinterest for my pumpkin decorating. Dad gave me this huge pumpkin from his garden, so I thought that it was worthy of something special. I went to Wal-mart and bought a couple bags of black buttons for this project (I was surprised to find that I didn't have enough buttons collected around the house - but oh well.) I used Elmer's glue, hot glue, and push pins to adhere the buttons to the pumpkin. I would recommend push pins - I just ran out of them. The hot glue was the next most effective, but I burned myself several times. So then I resorted to the Elmer's. It worked, but took a long time to glue.
I think that it turned out pretty cute. And it has been the talk of the neighborhood! Thanks Dad for the great pumpkin!
