Little Wild Horse Canyon

On our final day "Easterin'", we decided to take my family to Little Wild Horse. This is a fairly easy (normally) slot canyon that is kid-friendly, so we thought it would be lots of fun. We were right, it was fun, but it wasn't very easy!

The night before it had rained while we were camping...we waited for it to clear (a little bit), and then took off for our hike. The first of the hike was beautiful and fun, but then we kept seeing people coming back down the slot wet. We got a little concerned! Come to find out, the second half of the hike was knee-deep in water! But we did it anyway! Well, I shouldn't say "we" because the kids and I were carried through all of the water! I know, I know...I'm a wimp! Cami and Ryan were troopers. They totally saved the day. Our heroes.

We scaled walls, squeezed our guts out, grunted, laughed, and nearly cried (well...that was just me!), but we had a great hike. Then we got back to camp and Mom made a yummy Dutch-oven dinner, which we all gobbled up!

We made some great memories on this trip.
