I just LOVE tulips. They are a SURE sign that summer is on its way. Although they last only a short while, their presence is powerfully hopeful and encouraging. We left our tulips at our apartment in my flowerbed when we moved - and I'm scared to go back to see what has happened to my beautiful flowers (they could be covered in car parts by now...agh). So...we went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point a few weeks ago to fill my tulip need. It was a gorgeous day, and the flowers were spectacular. It felt great to be outside and for a wonderful walk with the tulips.
Let's help each other remember to plant our tulips this fall to enjoy next spring. I'm sad about the tulips I left behind too. I'm excited to pick new colors and watch them grow next time around.
