I know that I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to Lake Powell, but I like it EXACTLY how I like it! I like to visit Lake Powell when I can sleep at night in an air-conditioned, hotel room, eat at nice restaurants, and awesome beaches. I've been to Lake Powell and suffered in the heat and torture...and I just HATE it. It's not worth it to me. So I try to manipulate things so that I can have Lake Powell my way... :)
This year we had a great time exploring the Lake, viewing Antelope Canyon (a gorgeous slot canyon), and relaxing. I just love the Lake in October. It is so beautiful and warm.
